YouTube is continuing their assault on "hand que'd" videos. That is the practice of marking the videos you want to see and watching them on a play list. They just pushed a new update that tries to hide the queue if you don't open it again. It also tries to replace the queue with a list they made (their algorithm) unless you keep navigating back to it. The moment this breaks I'm gone. I'm not gonna let ya'll pick what I watch. I don't trust you.

@hypostase There is nothing elegant or honorable about the "geek tax" and it's not some accomplishment to know how to pay it and get out of the slop machine. It's like bragging that you brought your own life vest while everyone around you is drowning.

@futurebird Sometimes I prepare queue to watch while I eat (or whatever) on my phone.After few moments (even while watching first video of queue) it gets lost.Then I have to open my phone again and force it to play that queue I've prepared.If I haven't closed YT on my phone yet, otherwise the queue is lost and I have to create it from scratch.I thought it was because of some strange way I'm using YT...F**ng enshitification of everything, I'm so tired of "that s**t worked half a year back without problem...Oh FFS they added 'AI' 🤬"

@futurebird When our daughter asked for TV we would put on a short clip (usually Miss Rachel, Elmo, the very hungry caterpillar, etc) and queue up an episode of How It's Made to play after it.This worked super well until it didn't all of a sudden and I didn't really investigate why
