Question to all the #photo / #Image capture / #Archival crew out there:Whats the recommended way of getting good digitisations from old photo albums?I have been given a number of photo albums (some of them quite old) which can't be folded flat in to a scanner (specifically the scanner in a multifunction printer).I've looked at some "Scanner Pens" and considered hanging the photo album off the side of the scanner while copying - neither of these feels like the right solution.#AskFedi #Digitisation

@kgoetz Some genealogy libraries have scanners that can digitize your albums. Family Search libraries will help you at no charge.

@dougfir I'm not aware of a group like that in my area (LDS are a fair way from here) but mention of the library does make me wonder if the public library could help. Thanks for the pointer!

@kgoetz > mention of the library does make me wonder if the public library could helpIf they can't help you themselves, your local GLAM (Gallery/ Library/ Archives/ Museum) can most likely point you in the right direction.@dougfir
