Yes. Emulation is fantastic. However I like to keep some original hardware around and about 30 or so of the best games (especially exclusives) for any system. Not enough to overwhelm you with indecision when choosing a game to play, but enough to give a good overview of the sytem.

I would have loved nothing more than to keep my old ps2 but it died and wasn't coming back. It was actually my second one as my sister fucking sat on the first with her fat arse. The bitch. I have only 21 roms in my ps2 emulator folders, the ones that I would have replayed again and one that was almost impossible to get a copy of here back when it was released.

The ps3 (and the 8 games or so I had for it) was my last and final console. I'll stick to PC gaming going forward. Sony lost me over the years and I've not seen anything that would tempt me back. What do you make of the PS4? Worth the price? Good games?

One of my issues is that internet service was absolute shit around here until a year or 2 after 2010...when we finally got low bandwidth DSL over the phone line. Cable never made it out this way. I eventually got a subsidized cell phone home internet (Federal Rural High Speed Internet Grant to AT&T) and that was mostly good. Then got fiber optic about 5 or 6 years ago. So I missed the early years of online gaming of the 2000s and early 2010s.

i didn't h ave interenet when i started gaming, i was using an old windows 98 computer and i'd just buy games on discs from the store and install them on my pc, i had a binder full of them at one point lol. age of empires 2 i played a lot of that, and command and conquer red alert 2. fallout 1 and 2, ig ot that from walmart for 10 bux, both discs in a cardboard sleeve.
