Does anyone with essential tremors have any experience with using a mouse versus a trackball or a trackball mouse?I've developed essential tremors that have been getting slowly worse this last year and I find myself having difficulty sometimes clicking on something like the X that closes your browser. I used a trackball in the past so I'm wondering if going back to one would help? Thanks.(please boost for visibility)

@Mrfunkedude I switch between regular hand-held mice, track balls, and vertical or ergonomic mice to ease off of RSI, I would think it would be worth the experiment for you...

@Mrfunkedude I do not have a tremor, and I have always used trackballs since ~1997-ish. I also don't have RSI, and I attribute that to good typing posture and mostly to not using a mouse. My wife has an essential tremor and she usually uses her laptop touchpad, and sometimes a small travel mouse. My suggestion to you: Trackballs are good, probably for a hand with a tremor. And definitely try a good sides not-shit external touchpad. Different muscles, I think.

@Mrfunkedude my wife does not say she has trouble with computer 2D pointing. I'm saying what I've observed.

@MrfunkedudeIt probably would be a good idea, since you can click elements while not touching the ball that moves the cursor
