       @DefinitelyNotRabbit @enigmatico @astrid @Starcross yeah we have a ton of weird laws on alcohol heresome states (and even counties) ban the sale of alcohol on Sundays, others restrict all alcohol above a certain ABV entirely, and yet others force businesses to create a separate establishment just for selling high ABV liquor

       @Cocoa @enigmatico @Starcross @DefinitelyNotRabbit i received a mailer the other week announcing that some restaurant was applying to sell alcoholic beverages, and that, according on city law, they are required to mail every resident in a 500 ft radius to allow them to complain within a 30 day notice period. i think that it's absolutely ridiculous that you need to do that. why the hell should i care as long as they keep their clients in line
