In Chicago they mix their cheesey popcorn with their sweet popcorn and brag about it a lot HOWEVER if you want to make it classy get the caramel corn but serve it with little slices of real sharp cheddar cheese. Forget the cheese powder. You are welcome.

@jrconlin I think the trick is to stop trying to get the cheese to stick to the popcorn and just eat one of each at the same time.

@futurebird That does sound good (and better). My Dad always had a slice of sharp cheddar with his apple pie à la mode. 😋

@futurebird that's not Garrett's Chicago mix. That's bougie popcorn. No can do.

@futurebird I... hmm. I don't know if that would be as good[1] as the classic mix.[1] for very specific meaning of "good"

@varx How would you call 'Stockholm Syndrome' but it is from Chicago and it is about popcorn?

@futurebird On the other hand, I will generally prefer a piece of dark chocolate dipped in salted peanut butter to a Reese's peanut butter cup.

@futurebird Oh interesting. Kiddo got popcorn at an event over the weekend. Thought the cheese/carmel mix was unusual, didn't realize it was a Chicago "thing." Didn't catch the label though. It's made it to San Francisco theaters.
