@verita84 @CSB Pixel Watch 4 is the only one that reads my heart rate through sleeve tattoos. I had an Apple Watch Ultimate and it couldn't even pick it up 9/10 times

@graf Graf, bro, I suggest you move the Apple Watch to a less-inked spot:Wear it higher up your forearm (even 1–3 cm can help) so the sensor sits on lighter/clearer skin.Make it snug (not cutting off circulation) and keep the sensor glass clean.… and try in Apple Store with latest generations of Apple Watch - Apple improves sensors every 2nd year… and yez, I have heard about problems with tattoos.@verita84

@CSB @verita84 Ink goes all the way to my hands. I shouldn't have to wear something uncomfortably. That's Apple's fuck up not mine. I've owned 6 of 7 generations of Samsung watch too. None of them reliably read heart rate. The pixel watch just does it. And does it all the time without needing to be tweaked to pick it up. Google earned a loyal customer by being the only one who can do it.

@verita84 @CSB Yeah you can't use biometrics at all with Apple watch ultra and tattoos. So you can't use Apple pay or any of the intended features that require you to have wrist detection at all. Makes the watch functionally useless so I sold it for nearly what I paid for it. Will never buy another Apple watch 🫵🏻
