@Shadowbroker2135 @alexmussolini88 He used to drink so much (caffeinated) iced tea and pepsi that he would run around working all the time and hardly sleep, so now that he's older and doesn't/can't move around as much (and still "hates drinking water"), of course he's diabetic. I seriously think he never thought of water as "refreshing." He'd do hard labor and come in for a pepsi. I didn't even realize it was weird that he did that until I was older. Seriously addicted to the sugar.

The Playstation we owned broke down soon after from a faulty mechanism that was never addressed, so I remained a nearly pure Nintendo kid until my mid-teens, when we got a sufficiently powerful PC at the time, and I was allowed to own a Steam account. I wish we owned a SNES, but it was already on the way out when I was old enough to understand lucidly to play and enjoy gaming. I usually played ALttP at a family friend's house, but what I did play was enough to influence me.

DUDE! I spent Thanksgiving in Phoenix with relatives. One of their friends has a HUGE COLLECTION of old video games, including ALL that you listed. On the order of 40+. On Thanksgiving night, he opens his arcade to friends. He has an office building he owns, and the next door office to his dermatology office is where he has his "arcade". I spent A LOT of time and quarters on Missile Command that night. I thought I'd NEVER see that game again.It was fkn glorious to see all of those games in one place in the current year!

Don't do it, I've studied MMORPGs a lot out of morbid curiosity and it would be a pain in the arse to do. Plus the gameplay often isn't even that fun. If I were to do some kind of multiplayer game in the current industry environment I would definitely pick a solo based game where it's FFA or I would pick a co-op game of some kind.One idea I was thinking about quite a bit is maybe people could re-create the MMORPG raiding experience but on a smaller scale and have instanced dungeons to get loot while defeating bosses etc. together. I think that would be much easier to pull off, co-op games have gotten pretty popular these days.

@scenesbycolleen @alexmussolini88 @Shadowbroker2135 Tell him to get 2 (or more) water bottles, and to keep them in the fridge. I have a 1 qt and 1.4 qt that I rotate back and forth multiple times a day, and shoot for 3 qt per day (in addition to what I bring to the gym and whatever I drink with dinner). I found that once I had consistently cold water, I liked it more. Room-temp tap water (even with ice added) just tastes objectively worse.

Many chuckles had at impatient people who got fucked up from running ahead of my rogue before I could scout ahead and disarm traps for us. Unlike the main game where everything's already mapped out and disarming was flavor more often than useful. "Dude, aren't rogues just for damage?" I'll bet someone else out there knows this pain.

Arc Raiders almost gets this experience right in my view, I think that explains a bit of why the loot extraction shooters have gained quite a bit of traction over the years. I can completely understand the frustration of PvErs with the absolute rats that are in lobbies now KoSing people.That's the sort of experience that I'm thinking of but with more RPG fantasy elements.
