I know it's bad but I do try my best to direct my Youtube viewers away from Youtube and I ask them to watch me on Peertube and Owncast instead.So me having to run the proprietary youtube frontend once in a while to upload something isn't so bad because these actions result in directing more people towards using free software in the long run, at least that's how I see it.

Most linux newbies haven't even heard of GNU, and if they have they've usually heard second hand that GNU/FSF supporters are 'extremists' in the software community and only hinder the progress of linux. It's a very common insight, especially (funnily enough) on propreitary platforms like Reddit or Discord.
