@JeffGrimesArt @Fash-E Do nothing all day is obviously hyperbole, although working environment is much more healthier within EU due to regulations. 2-3 months vacation isn't much of a hyperbole though, most people have between 20-40 days off per year, with 20 being bare minimum required by EU. Usually it scales with your time in the workforce, e.g. you start at like 25 and after 15 years you have like 35. Certain professions got more, for instance in academia there are like 60-90 days off (I got 90 myself). There are also number of days of paid leave on demand (sick and parental) that are "extra". Corn syrup, a lot of very nasty pesticides & fertilizers and a lot of dangerous food additives are banned (still legal and widespread in US), food is of really high quality and it's pretty cheap and available. Wealth disparity is much more pronounced in US, the median is very far off of average. Being poor in most of EU means that you don't get to drive brand new car or live in a mansion, but not that you will struggle to put food on the table, give your kids education or wonder if there will be a roof above you at all. Being poor in US means that you will have newest iPhone but live in a trailer park or tent and feed off gas station pre-made gruel.
