Reporting after two weeks of using a new #Fairphone6. No issues so far.Everything works as it should, I am really happy with the device! The battery life could be better, but I enabled some bells and whistles like 120 Hz & always-on display. I have Syncthing, Tailscale and Immich working in the background as well. I could optimize later.I wonder if I maybe I can somehow make it back up nightly to my local #BorgBackup repository (without rooting the device, I don't want to fumble).#Android

@unfa Yo that's nice. I have a similar phone: Fairphone 5.I do relate to the battery thing. But I installed SaverTuner from F-Droid and it has improved it by a decent bit. https://f-droid.org/packages/s1m.savertunerIt's a no root, FOSS, battery-saving adjustment app. I use the Extreme preset and it works well as I don't have any major issues. Battery lasts several (3-4) days with medium usage (whatever medium means). I'm non-stop in battery saving mode and all sensors are turned off.

@borkir nice, thank you for the recommendation. I will check it out. I've been tuning the phone to balance performance and features. The always-on clock display is really useful for me because I have difficulty keeping track of time. But I know that eats battery. I've set the switch to enable battery saving so I can use that when I don't need certain features. I wish there were some ways to automate things. For example, I need #Syncthing to only run when I open #Logseq.

@unfa @borkir You can automate things like that with Tasker.
