       @macer it’s just ruby and rails and Postgres and stuff like that. No reason why it can’t be done. I was setting up a test server and I would normally use BSD. But I think I was in a hurry, and since it wasn’t important, I just did the path of least resistance and used Debian.The main thing that makes it a little tedious is figuring out all the dependencies. What the package name is on FreeBSD versus the instructions for a Linux distro. But there’s no reason it shouldn’t be possible.

       @paco @macer there is a port for it, you can just "pkg install mastodon" and everything gets installed. You'll still have to follow some docs on configuring some services but it will all work https://www.freshports.org/net-im/mastodon/
