Bad business & bad ethics demands boycott. No CEO in the world is worth that kind of salary. All companies rest on the shoulders of their employees - always.#starbucks #berniesanders

@smlx4 This is incorrect. The salary is something between the owners, the boards and the CEO. But, that being said... how the salary affects potential customers of the company is _definitely_ a component to consider when setting the CEO salary. Having met and done business with CEO:s, I have to say that the bigger the company the more "psycho" they are. I also think that Musks 1 trillion compensation package is ridiculous. I will buy starbucks coffee if no option is available, but due to

@h4890 bonuses CEOs receive are pure nonsense. No one is worth 90 million for four months regardless of the agreement. The idea that a person has that capacity must end. For these people, it’s usually about layoffs & shortcuts. Collective agreements (CBA) is the way forward to ensure the well-being of workers. It would provide real leverage, lock in fair pay, predictable schedules, solid benefits & clear rules - and not have to rely on the goodwill of management.

@smlx4 No Marie, collective agreement is socialist bullsh*t and destroys society. What we need is capitalism and free markets. Could it be that you are envious of people making a lot of money? If so, rest assured that lowering their salaries, won't give you 1 SEK. Just look at how socialism and your thinking has destroyed sweden. From being the richest country in europe after WW2, sweden is now an average hellhole and the rape capital of the world, not to mention the immigrant related shooting

@smlx4 s in the street. Suburbs in sweden are about as safe as gaza, and looking at the burning cars, it shows the dangers of socialism. Last, but not least, science has proven that capitalism and a free econmy is the only way to make people wealthier and to give them safety and a high standard of living, over time, thanks to the trickle down effect. This is a proven fact.

@h4890 your opinion mixes strong ideological claims w several factual inaccuracies & misleading generalizations. I’m sorry to say that the argument uses heavily incorrect statistics, exaggerations & zero evidence. And of course, an ideological framing. Firstly, collective agreements exist in many market economies & are definitely not inherently “socialist.” Actually, they’re a standard labor-market tool. Simply. ->

@smlx4 You're seeking defense in definitions, but both you and I know that collective agreement is socialist b.s. It means a limitation of the rights of employers. By all means, agree with others, collectively if you want, but if you work for me, the contract stipulates and forbids unions and collective union agreements, and that is as it should be. In sweden, the socialists are constantly trampling on property rights, and that is why swedes are getting poor. That is one of many reasons

@smlx4 why sweden is falling behind. I can also add pisa studies. Swedish students are also getting more stupid, and the schools worse. Once sweden had the best school system in the world, but look at the nr of nobel prizes and the pisa studies, and you can see how retardedness spreads due to socialism.

@smlx4 What I say has nothing to do with ideology. To the contrary, it seems like you are steeped in socialism. What I talk about is just plain, basic, economic facts. Socialism has been disproven scientifically (it doesn't work), historically (any place where it has been tried has fallen), and logically (it is inconsistent). It amazes me that people still insist on believing in the illusion, but envy and hate are probably the main factors behind that.

@h4890 -> secondly, Sweden has not been “destroyed”, it’s one of the world’s wealthiest, safest & most stable countries - by global standards. Crime issues exist, yes. But ridiculous claims like “rape capital” are not supported by credible data. There’s no solid empirical evidence that capitalism or “trickle-down” policies reliably raises living standards for most people. ->

@smlx4 Hello? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_wealth_per_adultSweden place 143. Let me assure you that sweden was not ranked 143 after WW2. You have been disproven again, and pro tip, don't base your ideas on swedish government data. The swedish public sector is full of socialists, trying to hide the errors of socialism to earn money on corruption. So you cannot trust swedish data. It's like asking a drug seller if drugs are good. Trickle down has been proven. You can see the proof in many places, but go out and

@h4890 -> finally, let me just say, reducing inequality or negotiating wages does not stem from envy, it’s a cheap claim that you’re making. The data is rooted in well-documented economic effects. It’s definitely fair to say that it’s often about economic fairness, stability & productivity. And it’s proven.

@smlx4 buy Johan Nordbergs book The Capitalist Manifesto, you have sources and data. Your mistake is very common among socialists, and that is that you are only looking at a few years at most. If you look at 30 or 70 years, you'll see the proof of trickle down.

@smlx4 When it comes to rape... tadah! https://www.statista.com/statistics/1268551/sexual-violence-rate-europe-country/Sweden in the top. You seriously need to remove your ideological sunglasses. They keep you from actually seeing the world as it is, and to accept facts.

@smlx4 Incorrect. Nobel prize 2024 proved that strong property rights is essential for rich nations. Reducing inequality goes counter to nobel prize winning economists and reduces material welfare in countries. The only motivation I can think of is that you are envious of rich people, and see politics as a tool to steal from them. Economics has prove, and received a nobel prize in 2024 for the _fact_ that property rights must be maintained (no reduction of inequality) to get economic

@h4890 don’t really why the negative tone. Norberg makes good arguments based on historical evidence when he describes market economies. His has valuable insights, although not the whole picture due to his ideological perspective. Yes, markets create wealth, of course, but they do not prevent instability, monopoly & inequality.

@smlx4 Actually, the opposite is the case. Norberg is actually free from ideology and focuses on science. As for my tone, I've learned from the emperor that it is our hate that makes us stronger, so I think it is a good starting point to base ones life on! 💪 As for monopoly, markets is the only thing that prevents them. You've just committed another fallacy. The government is a monopoly, enforced by violence, and you like that. That means that you are not per

@smlx4 definition against monopolies, which means that you shouldn't be against it in case of markets either. But, markets do not lead to monopolies, over time, so you have nothing to fear there. In terms of inequality, that is a law of physics, and an inherent good. Harnessing inequality and instability through the tool of the market, is what universally, increases everyones standard of living and material welfare.

@smlx4 Channeling those two aspects of life through a monopoly maintainted by violence (government) is what leads to the downfall of everyone, world wards, and destruction. You can see what socialism leads to in china and russia. Two excellent examples. Sweden is just a bit slower, but will reach this in time if nothing is changed.

@h4890 ok, thanks for sharing your view. It’s obvious that our perspectives on economics, on evidence & on the the role of government are too far apart to continue to have a dialogue. I prefer conversations grounded in verifiable data & mutual respect, not ideology or hostility. Debating someone who’s arguing in absolutes & is set by firm boundaries is pointless. Let’s leave it here. Bye 👋
