I was talking with my stream about this, and it’s still an interesting thought to me that your art might be what led someone to become a lolicon. I don't know if I would feel good or bad about it lmao

@MoeMortem yea, that'd be def true...i was allways a fan of great art, but i def became a lolicon when i spotted cute anime...i probably would not here if i wasnt influenced by artists like alke or conoghi... (back in the early 2000's)

@MoeMortem I can name not just the artist but the specific art piece that lead to that moment for me. Was years ago when I was still on AOL dialup, stumbling my way through the net as a horny teen. It was the bath time image from this page which still somehow exists. (much of the site is broken now) - lead me to check the rest of the site and I got hooked.http://www.yo.rim.or.jp/~gen-ei/numbers10_e.html

@murawa Yeah, I feel like anime is a pretty high contributor. It's likely what did me in lol. But a lot of western cartoons seem to have had a lot of impact for people also.

@archiveanon It's cool you can remember the exact image so clearly. I remember a lot of pieces that I was really influenced by, but not the origin. :cryingcat:

@MoeMortem I don't even know why it was such a clear memory, but a few years back I realized i lost the original image i saved and went hunting for it again. That's when I found the artists original website from 1996 still up somehow lol.

@Juju3D I can only speak from my own perspective, but I remember being taken aback the first time someone told me they jerked it to my art. So to even know I had that level of impact on someone was surprising. I think a lot of artists have some level of self doubt in the impact of their work, myself included. So to try and think past "what can I do better", and instead think of how will this influence others, is a rare line of thought.

@MoeMortem ; I doubt that anyone’s art by itself accounted for a person’s sexually kink, including lolicon. A variety of factors are involved, including environmental and genetics. Pedophiles are known to have significantly different brain pathways from normal people.

@MoeMortem A lot of my proclivities seem to incubate over time without one sole reason. I remember being a kid and finding different girls cute like Zelda ones (OOT, WW), Luna Platz, and so many in the Pokemon games. Fast forward, I'm watching Vinny Vinesauce play Hat in Time and I'm like "Hat Kid is really cute…Hat Kid can get it". Many thought the same so the artists drew and a commotion started online and that's likely where I learned what Lolicon was. That or when Kanna blew up the internet

@MoeMortem It's kind of a mixed feeling to be honest. While I like helping people understand their fetishes and sexual desires, I wouldn't personally get someone involved in drugs for example and sometimes sexual interests can spike into a drug-like obsession...With lolicon it's also problematic as some might go too far with it not knowing the difference between fiction and reality when they just start.

@MoeMortem I think anyone who saw their first lolicon art and got interested from it was going to find it elsewhere one way or another. It's nice when they like yours more tho :blobcheeky:

@MoeMortem Doesn't being a lolicon mean being at least half-sane, while everyone who doesn't like lolis is simply hypocritical or born blind? It's like that movie where the author lacks the courage to make lolis, so he makes the characters pensioners and only later adds sex because he pees his pants out of fear of the reaction, like the author of Dance on the Vampire Embankment or the author of When Seagulls Cry (the ending explanation for the island's destruction).

@MoeMortem For me personally, it doesn't matter whether an actor is persecuted under the laws of certain countries or humanity as a whole. What matters to me is that he remains true to himself as a creative artist; everything else is just garbage that time will dissipate. According to the laws of some big countrees, lolicon will soon be the stuff of "shooting families" on the streets. That won't make lolicon a bad thing, it will just expose the faces of the gov of these countrie.

@MoeMortem it's probably less that you changed them and moreso that you caused them to realize something that was always there inside of them. I've seen shitloads of great futa art and I still don't like it, but lolicon always hit different, even back when I wasn't willing to admit it. Sometimes you just need that little push to embrace a part of yourself you never thought was there. I'd consider it a great honor personally, not just any old crap can awaken the primal desire that lies within.

@MoeMortem @Juju3D can understand why that's a bit TMI coming from a complete stranger but personally I'd take that as a sign that you're doing a good job with your work, it is meant to express a sexual feeling after all. That said, nobody's ever said it to me so I can't say how I'd feel if they did. If it was a complete stranger saying it to me I'd feel a bit awkward too.
