The UK IPv6 Council meeting was held at BT (London) Tower the other day, and seemingly as part of the deal of hosting something at BT Tower is that your stuff gets put on the mini scrolling jumbotron.I wonder how many people looked up and thought "wtf is IPv6 and this URL?"

To be fair, as a London of 10+ years I don't think I have ever paid attention to the BT tower jumbo-tron until that day, so I suspect only a scale of 10-99 outside of the event itself actually noticed the thing

@benjojo I mean, during the last IPv6 council in Belgium (Orange BE wasn’t part of it), Orange BE hosted another event next door. They asked us what IPv6 was when we ran into them 🙃

@benjojo I was intrigued and just skimmed the Wikipedia page for the BT Tower, upon which I learned that it displayed a Windows error message for a whole day in April 2019 😄 https://www.itv.com/news/2019-04-08/technical-glitch-leads-to-iconic-london-tower-displaying-error-message

@benjojo when my dad did his apprenticeship with BT he worked on dishes on the outside of that tower, and the tower at Crystal Palace.
