It's merely the centralization of power into a single, fallible organization.To pick one relatively benign future: In ten years time a different FSF under a  new generation of leadership releases every work in their care under MIT/BSD. So much for Copyleft.Diffuse ownership is a far more resilient model.

       @fsf I assigned copyright to my GNUstep contributions to the FSF. Then the maintainer presented them with credible evidence of LGPL violation. They decided the cost of enforcement outweighed potential benefit. They did force us to change the license to GPLv3 / LGPLv3, which made contributions too high risk for some companies that had previously been engaged with the project.
