       @scruss Obviously, that's one of my babies. We nearly lost a developer to US border agents. He took it to the US to show at a trade fair and on the way back got hauled up at the border for exporting restricted technology!

       @vik @scruss When I worked at a bank I used to have to fill in and file the carnets for anyone in my dept. & the trading floor  taking bank devices out of country. even after all the warnings I gave them about not trying fiddle with the carnet we often lost devices to customs impounding and distruction. one time one of the traders delivering a dongle to a training session nearly cost the bank 100k by having the dongle seized on return by trying to claim that a laptop was the dongle and the dongle was just a printer cable

       @uksconeIn this case we did have the carnet and the US changed its mind. Amstrad lawyers were able to recover Bill and the PPC eventually. That model was hand built and cost more than Sir Allan's Rolls Royce at the time.@scruss
