Ugh. Listening to Kathryn Ryan interviewing someone from ACC on RNZ's NineToNoon. They talk about 'AI' like it's magic and there seems to be no actual understanding. No questioning whether it's a good idea or bad, what the implications might be, the dependencies it creates, etc. Seems like the inept leading the inepter.

@lightweight She demonstrates a similar lack of understanding of basic statistics too: ascribing the characteristics of a population to individuals within that population, and then using that faulty inference to deny cover.The criteria then becomes being able to find a lawyer who will take them on, and being able to afford it.I couldn't and have never worked again.Rissoles.

@lightweight That's the second interview of her I've heard in the last couple of months and both times she has appeared entirely out of her depth.
