OK Friendly fZ80 Computers are now for sale! I have no ecommerce site of my own and likely never will. I'm intending to use eBay. But I want to offer folks here first shot so I don't want to put the eBay page up.There are ten units for sale. $90 each. There's no rational way to price these 10 because they're final stage prototypes.Substantially updated Fz80 Page: https://www.bleeve.me/fZ80/index.htmlf they sell in a reasonable interval I'll make more. Capitalism being what it is, I could assemble 50 or 100 of them cheap enough to probably sell them for less. The board and chassis are pretty solid. Missing is the sound API and the NRF24L01+ radio.

@tomjennings very cool and if I was not in the midst of reducing stuff ahead of a likely move I’d be very tempted. A few suggestions for your page about it - perhaps include what someone needs to use it? (In terms of the monitor and keyboard - specifically the connections required)And I’d suggest raising your planned price - you can always discount it in the future but seems like closer to $200 would still be more than fair and gives you some margin for various costs of prototyping

@Rycaut The book does mention keyboard and monitor requirements but you're right, otherwise the web page doesn't mention it! I will fix.Price: chaos! Meh, this first batch I just want in peoples' hands and being used. Because I want feedback and I want a user base and I'm writing MP/M apps now.I'm using the response time as measure of future interest. I did this for me, not as a business; I wanted one! They're not expensive to make.If there's substantial interest the next design with be an MP/M "laptop"... which would be wonderful.

@tomjennings while I don't aspire to purchase one, I wanted to send my compliments on the lovely work you've done making the fZ80!

@tomjennings Very interesting indeed, and I am almost tempted, but have soooo many projects already. Regarding a laptop version, the last CP/M machine I owned (and used for a long time) was an Epson PX-8 "Geneva" with the 128k RAM disk. The user experience from that (and the battery life!) definitely resonates with your laptop ideas.

@tomjennings @Rycaut We’d love to have a Friendly fZ80 in our space! In case of feedback:- Would be cool if your website has some old fashioned “Specs” section: Which ports, and what are the limits (RAM, storage, ports, port speed, hardware handshake? Ring signal? …)- Is there an option for multi-RS232, so that one can attach actually 2-3 devices. I’d love to connect a glass tube to it, but also want to connect it to our serial deviceserver for data exchange and for another login (telnet) port

@tomjennings I'm just seeing this, and while i was initially skeptical, i really love your vision of this as a place to explore the possibilities of MP/M.
