I'm feeling just fine which means the big server move will be happening today. As per last announcement, expect big indeterminate downtime and big retardation. I will be posting updates on @Cassidy (especially if something disastrous happens and it's over forever). I'll add that I'm still searching for the perfect reasonably priced provider of dedicated or bare-metal servers with good block storage / attachable volumes offerings (being able to mix and match attachable hdd, ssd, nvme for price and use case would be ideal). Preferably this would be a US-based company.This is to say that we will probably not be staying on the new server for a long time, as I had initially hoped. This is to buy time until I find a better option. There may be another server-move in January, unless I'm exceptionally lazy - then probably a little later into next year.

@sarvo @Cassidy unfortunately am currently with them for media and their block storage is unreliable. They also don't have any higher-speed options for what I'm eventually wanting to do with the main server (partition the database and put old data on attachable storage).

@cassidyclown @Cassidy attachable storage on a dedicated server like that is a nigh non existing service, really consider if a big ass backplane chassis or a jbod expander isn't more feasable long term, because the amount of vendors doing nvmeof/iscsi/rbd access is minimal, and you're heading into really funky private cloud territory

@i @Cassidy I would love to colocate but I live in Australia (hell). I'm not closed to the idea of paying a service to set up hardware in their rack that I ship to them and then paying whatever colocation type fees they have. But I have no idea how much that would cost (the setup fees etc.) and if that's really even a commercially available option to someone like me and who's offering it.
