Sigh. The wifi was hiccupping this morning and I was reading about chrome zero day du jour so in a moment of weakness I updated chrome on my phone, and now it has an "AI mode" button on new tabs. The instructions for disabling it all assume I'm either on desktop (the chrome://flags page hasn't got those keys here) or am using a newer android version (the settings pulldown hasn't got...)I installed vivaldi on here once, but had 8 zillion open tabs I dunno how to move over...

@landley save all tabs to bookmarks (it will save to a new folder), migrate the bookmarks, open all bookmarks

It _probably_ doesn't work (my phone can't even interpret QR codes because everything assumes system library support for it that isn't present), but I'm never voluntarily pressing the button to find out.I jumped through hoops to disable the "google assistant" thing last decade, I'm not engaging positively with this new unwanted intrusion.I understand why people go back to flip phones.

There's a reason my phone is never authorized to spend money. (I brought cash to pay the dentist yesterday, and they say they've seen a significant uptick in people doing that recently. Good.)
