       Hot take: NixOS needs to be more political to be successful. Y'all are just TERRIBLE politicians yapping about irrelevant details in Discourse all day instead of building and lobbying politicians and lawmakers.I want to see NixOS as the driver of EU digital sovereignty and the main OS of choice for High assurance, hyperscaler workloads in the Post-USA cloud economy. This is a hyper political direction but it's the way forward.Remove reliance on crumbling US big tech. Bootstrap the EU economy for the next five decades. That's the goal I have. And I will make it happen.

       @arianvp EU imports its hardware from China, software from the US, and the power to run the above from Russia. It has no digital sovereignty. Or any kind of sovereignty to begin with.

       You know who currently is the best NixOS political lobbying group? Anduril. Y'all are gonna be all angry that I said it but it is absolutely 100% fact. If you are serious about not wanting Anduril to consume the space you have to play Anduril games.  Start lobbying. Start making more contacts with local and EU lawmakers. Set up workstreams in standardisation groups.  Bootstrap OSPOs.  Get involved with journalists writing about digital sovereignty. Start marketing.
