@Nonilex You can't trust a word this admin says definitely, but also companies are cheating. I see lots of jobs that are made to be impossible for anyone to actually join. Like requiring 10 years experience with some software no one will ever have interacted with except within that company for instance. My suspicion is many are internal positions oriented towards only one person being able to fill internally. So it looks like a new job posting, but really they just move someone around.

@Nonilex Yeah, your second point is a key one. Any economist worth their salt will be looking for other secondary indicators rather than believing the BLS numbers anymore.
