       The ruling from Judge Orlando L. Garcia, of U.S. District Court for the Western District of #Texas, comes after Gov. #GregAbbott signed in June a #law requiring school districts to display the #TenCommandments in a “conspicuous location” in each classroom.        In his ruling, Judge Garcia wrote that “it is impracticable, if not impossible, to prevent plaintiffs from being subjected to unwelcome religious displays” w/o stopping school districts from enforcing that #law.The decision comes amid an ongoing battle over whether states can legally compel school districts to display the #TenCommandments. In June, a panel of judges on the US Court of Appeals for the #5thCircuit said a similar law in #Louisiana requiring postings was “plainly unconstitutional.”

       @Nonilex "And Tango Makes Three" can't sit on one shelf in the school library because seeing that would "sexualize children" but they're required to look at a poster in every classroom that references adultery or says "thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife"? Oh, and gender ideology isn't allowed but talking about some people as property instead of people on account of their (assigned) gender is mandatory.
