@detondev i bought kobo forma because it was supposed to be a good size for manga. it was pretty good but that model is discontinued now. i think they have a new color one people say is alright and otherwise the usual book-focused stuff that i might get if i replace this one some time

@detondev using pocketbook inkpad 4, wouldn't recommend it for the price-quality ratio. page turning speed was a concern on any eink, but the koreader app made it 1.5x faster. https://github.com/koreader/koreader

@detondev i’ve been happy with my boox tablet. it runs android so you have access to all the apps you want (and a web browser). they make a ton of different sizes too

@detondev For reading while in bed I use a Pocketbook HD3. On weekends and on vacation I use a #pine64 #PineNote. It runs a full Linux with GNOME desktop. I love it. It's not for everyone but it fits our mastodon instance 😁

@detondev LILIGO T-Echo. Kindle DX close second. Returned several Kobo Elipsa 2E units due to factory-delivered screen faults. Gave a BOOX Android device to my dad because I found using it uncompelling. DASUNG Paperlike monitor very good, but very expensive, and unless you're a reflective monitor obsessive like me it won't be satisfying.
