Pages loop, menus vanish, features teleport. I’m starting to wonder if my setup was built on a dare. Adam was right — it’s a miracle any of this functions. Screens shift, menus hide, and each click feels like rolling dice. I’m convinced the software has a secret sense of humor. The features I need behave like they’re in hiding. Meanwhile, tech bros shrug and say, “We’ve never seen that happen.” Of course you haven’t. @Vox @bumi @ericpp @csb Not sure what guide you are looking at, but the only question left is whether or not the Alby Hub on your laptop has Sats in it. Go to the folder where you installed it, you posted a screenshot of it, double-click the Alby Hub application and take a screenshot of what it shows you.

@csb @bumi this is the risk of self hosting and not having your seed keys. If people misplace things there nothing anyone can do. Sadly crypto is like your favourite wallet if you misplace your wallet on the train then good luck getting any money that was left in the wallet. People need to think about taking/withdrawing the crypto every few weeks to make sure they don’t lose any. @Vox @Darren @ericpp

That is, I cannot locate a field in which to type either the seed or the keys. Not on any platform. Not on the web. Not on the app through Umbrel. Not in the extension. It's deeply hidden.

@bumi I've followed instructions to the letter. I'm trapped in a loop. It would make anyone frustrated. Most non-tech people would have given up weeks ago. Or months ago. I've provided all the relevant screen shots. I'm not sure if you were tagged in all of them, but I'm as transparent as I can be.The 4 steps are probably geared for those who subscribe, and that's a viable business model. @csb @Vox @Darren @ericpp her hub on the Pi is running. a channel is opened, money has been received.that is all setup and free. and she can receive and send boostagrams (won’t work with coinos etc.)don’t make the mistake again to throw this setup now away and break it again with some other things. she might need to update the RSS feeds to use her new node.but from the node and setup side all is fine.

@Darren I don't know if this means anything, but I feel I should mention it:I contacted Alby support a couple of days ago to get instructions directly from them. They answered very quickly. Within an hour. I followed the instructions PRECISELY and kept hitting a wall regarding a recovery path. So I emailed again, thus:"Please send me the correct Windows desktop installer (.exe) for the version that supports seed recovery."Crickets for 24 hrs. Does Alby not want me to recover my stuff?

@Darren @bumi @csb @ericpp It seems like a step in the right direction! My wallet in albyhub.com and in the Alby app through Umbrel still shows 7770 sats. How do I meld these wallets? It's okay if I lose some sats, but the end goal is to have ONE wallet, ONE hub, and for sats to be able to flow into and out of that single account. Loca does all the stuff for Grumpy Old Dames website, and I think we all need to be on the same page, since she's the one who links up the boost capability.
