       @kakafarm @georgia   the odd thing is that you need both "have" and "had" in the same sentence.  I am at a loss to figure out a way to explain *WHY*.

       @IceCubeSoup @georgia Isn't it strange?  Normal people tacitly know a ton of English grammar, but most wouldn't be able to explain how it works.  We can just use them in our speech and say which sentence sounds odd.
