       @SuperSnekFriend any anime (or film or show) that has a plot that revolves around "uh ackshually the world isn't what it seems and *gasp* neither is the main character" will get co-opted by trannies. they grasp at straws in entertainment as desperately as they grasp at their remaining sanity.if you want to get specific, they likely see themselves in lain. a (probably) autistic girl that feels a deep sense of alienation in the stuffy, stifling real world that she hides from by escaping to the internet. there is also the "other lain" aspect of the plot where lain has a seeming "other persona" that they think is tranny signaling.
