@ACL9000 Yes, that's just how they are. Especially if you're used to driving something with a light clutch. The VA's 2015-2021 used a stiffer clutch setup because it's "high performance for spirited driving." Something could be wrong but, #1 the engagement point is actually very high up in the pedal and you don't need to push it to the point where it "gives" & the pedal goes to the floor.Could be a shitty throw out bearing, bad fluid, failing master cylinder etc. I recommend inspecting the master cylinder, pedal assembly (sometimes they get cracks near the firewall which makes them creaky)But also, you can buy the Perrin clutch delay valve delete. I would also put in a tiered licensing system where skilled drivers could have better roads to drive on. Can you imagine how cool it would be to have brand new Toyota AE86 Corollas from 1985 remanufactured with modern materials but still the same dimensions and weight? Or to get all those awesome motors reproduced. I couldn't even imagine having a 1990 240SX hatchback that was nut & bolt brand new from the factory.

@ACL9000 it's nothing special just a mostly stock stick shift 5.0. Mine was a 99 cobra WITH Irs, it rode smooth but was too sloppy to have IRS tier handling. But it was the best sounding car I have ever had. 5.0s sound like trash.

Speaking as someone who has lived in a special hell wherein nothing for my 1-of-10,000 "special" car was available any longer, almost from the moment they hit the market, I have to say I value the ability to get replacement parts almost above anything else. Some clapped-out notchback in New Mexico with no body rot but a desperate need for an engine rebuild and a full interior replacement is probably an almost painless project to take on, just because you can go buy whatever it is you need from a website or a catalog, and not wait six years while you troll swap meets, or resign yourself to never getting it.
