Dumb human mammals. The blue line represents magma related extinction events in history. Humans are causing something similar at turbo levels.

@Spergo1875 @PalePimp Of course it is possible something stops us dead in our tracks, but this is a projection based on if things keep increasing as they are right now. The industrial revolution has consequences. We have greenhouses gases that we've created that haven't existed before.Things like: Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF₆), Perfluorocarbons (PFCs), Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), Nitrogen Trifluoride (NF₃), and Sulfuryl Fluoride (SO₂F₂).

@Spergo1875 @PalePimp These gasses have no natural sync. They aren't immediately broken down by natural processes or stored in ways that limit their dangers. People can be dismissive about it, but that is on them. Sure most of this won't affect most of us in our lifetime as much as other generations, but it seems a bit like pissing on your future lineage to just brush it away as "fake news".

@Sovereign @Spergo1875 I still remember when I was afraid of all the bullshit that I was taught, it came in the books, it came from Phds, people I respected, etc.BULLSHIT ALL OF IT.We shouldn't pollute, that's bad Mkey, we can end poisoning ourselves but that's about it. If the universe decides to collapse "the climate" or "the continents" or your sandwich, we can't do anything about it and it has nothing to do with us.

@PalePimp @Spergo1875 None of what you said disproved what I'm saying. I'm not living in fear. I'm just stating known facts that are really not even in dispute. It isn't a conspiracy to state we are having effects on the environment that no other animals have. What other animal makes factories with chimneys that operate 24/7? What other animals make bombs and nukes? It isn't to say that everything said in history is accurate, but some of it is.

@Spergo1875 @PalePimp Sometimes you don't have the solution. Sometimes part of the solution is just to make people aware of something. There are plenty of people much smarter than I am who might come up with an idea. I don't claim to know all the answers but I generally can read graphs, understand scientific/physics based issues, and explain them to people. I feel that at least is doing something.

@Sovereign @Spergo1875 Safe and effective, the ice is dissapearing by 2000, the antartic ice is shrinking, snow will be gone by the year 2020, London underwater by 2016, that comet does have two gas plumes so it is a spaceship from outher space, the ozone hole is growing, now is closed, its opened again, now is different, antibiotics do not work because just when the pattent expire the bacteria become immune to it, and I could go on and on and plaster poast with scientific data, studies and shit but I am not in the mood.We know shit, they make shit predictions.Kikes are telling you to pay taxes to fix the weather, it should be obvious at this point.

@PalePimp @Spergo1875 The ozone hole was growing, but the Montréal Protocol (one of the most successful measures in history on this) shifted productive forces against the causes. Awareness is what helped get people to that stage. I'm not saying every prediction is right, but some are. There are plenty of things in science that are just people upholding their careers. Heck, I used to be in graduate research, so I know how that goes. I used to experiment on mice which now seems like a bunch of death that was pointless. I'm not someone to claims to always be right or have a perfect record.I don't think increasing the taxes of people that are cash strapped is the solution either. I'm not delusional about the solutions or anything.

@PalePimp @Spergo1875 Heck, I'm even pro-nuclear power. I understand that even wind power and hydro have side effects.Spergio1875, these aren't individualistic type of situations where there is one hero to save everything. I'm doing about everything that I can do and that is in my power. Spreading awareness is doing "something". I'm not a climate/pollution expert by any means. I have no professional connections to this. I'm just someone who have ADHD and is interested in a lot of topics. A person who likes many topics but master of none lol.

@Sovereign @Spergo1875 I don't know shit either, I'm telling you most "credentialed" people know shit and real science is 100% gatekeeped.Stop assuming scientifically sounding ideas have been validated by anybody or are correct, they seldom are.Never confuse engineering with science, most of what you think is "science" is in reality engineering.

@Sovereign @Spergo1875 And I work on the engineering side, anything that can't be turned into an engineering process that is repeatable and verifiable with clear measures and clear action->reaction is scientific mumbo-jumbo."This is safe and effective" - tons of people ill or die at random -I build a machine to count tadpoles. The machine has been developed using solid scientifically tested principles and it has been designed with a scientific foundation of knowledge that has been tested by multiple independent people over a period of time after countless practical experiments repeatable by anyone with sufficient intellectual and technical capacity.Tadpoles counted with a margin of error of +-0.01%"The poles and glaciers will melt by 2020, no more snow by 2023" - Some glaciers grow others shrink less than expected the ones that grow do so consistently, both poles exhibit extensive ice growth, it keeps snowing everywhere including cyclical 20 year snowing in egypt.Something is not right and it is not the tadpole counter.

@PalePimp @Spergo1875 I have a extremely high respect for engineering. Fuck, if my math scores had not been shit from traveling a lot in life, I would have wanted to be a mechanical engineer. However, having trained and studied in the soft sciences (some harder science as I don't think neuroscience is a purely soft science field), I think you are overcorrecting here. It isn't "mumbo-jumbo".It is a spectrum, just because you are at one extreme of the science spectrum doesn't mean everything that is a softer science is just "fake". If you know margins of error, then you know some stats. Those same principles you learned in statistics also apply to softer sciences. I understand criticizing bad science, but the method is what counts, and sound methods that exist in your field can be used in less mechanistic fields. You don't think electrical potentials in action potentials in axons are pretty hard science? They are clearly observable. I can tell you the studies and how they occurred. Not every soft science is like Freud. Heck even people like BF Skinner had a lot of criticisms of things that are not measurable. The problem is that even theories that were not previously able to be tested are sometimes now measurable and guess what, some of those theories have been proven correct (even cognitive ones)."I'm upset that psychology uses a α = 0.05 instead of α = 0.01 like medicine" is how you are sounding to me. Yeah medical studies are more intense because it can affect the safety of humans. There is more statistical noise in social and psychological studies.
