       @franticbiscuit I do have a 3 display setup with 2 external 24" TFTs via TB-dock.with WaylandHowever, at the moment, X11 isn't an issue at all.

       @publicvoit I have to use #Windows11 in the corporate world, and it really sucks sooooo bad… Despite having 32 GB of RAM, the #Thinkpad feels so slow that I’m now teaching myself #Powershell just to avoid wanting to puke at the screen every five minutes.

       @DocM @publicvoit Same. I have a I9 company laptop and on Win11 it feels like a single-core celeron while heating like a hot plate.

       @clawjelly @DocM Maybe your company rolled out one of those endpoint security stuff that introduces very capable malware entry points and consumes much CPU power?There's a security statistic (from Google?) from 2024 where the top 5 vulnerabilities for malware were all(!) endpoint security products. Of course: they do come with security issues themselves, they have Internet connections to get "updates from outside", they are really deep down your systems running with admin rights and if you can hack them, you've got all possibilities as a hacker.
