Collapse is well underway in the bike/whole world... Ok radpower is going bust, but that's been kinda obvious all year; and it's not enshittification, sadly it's overextension or something. The latest bikes have a terrible firmware problem (bought and returned one). Their customer service is excellent! Anyway K- something, the biggest and oldest bike and parts distrib

@tomjennings I gotta say, I’m still pretty salty about the whole, “the only way you can fix a bent rear rim is to buy the entire wheel — tire, tube, rim, spokes, axel, motor, gear ring included.”

LOL, I was editing that post and it disappeared! I didn't realize it got sent.To finish it --K-something bike distributor is going out of business, after 50 years. Another importer of bikes, also.I doubt this is confined to bicycles.Radster: I found the assist extremely jerky and erratic, at low assist levels. In fact it wsa so bad I honestly repoted it as a failure, a seemingly endless series of swapped controllers, sensors, etc.Rads customer service is SUPERB. But chaotic, I got different answers from different people. But all tried really hard to make things rigt.I ended up returning it. Still ahve my Radrover 6 Plus. Bought a new battery and tires.

@tomjennings I hung onto the old one. It won’t help if I bend another rim, but at least I have a spare everything else.

@tomjennings Now, to their credit, when I was speaking with their customer service, and I just about shit a brick on the phone when they said my only option was an almost $700 rear wheel, the young lady contacted their parts department and got me the dimensions of the rim so that maybe I could find one elsewhere.I did. In China. And had it shipped over. Like $60 for the rim. $70 for the shipping. Right dimensions, and EBike rated. Different depth of the box section. Wasted money.

@tomjennings Ummm, no mine's a RadCity... but is the front rim the same as the back... ?probably? although the spoke lengths would be different. But now that you mention it, I might have been able to buy a front wheel assembly cheaper than the rear wheel and disassembled it for the rim.
