I think I'm going to cancel my flight and rent a U-Haul truck. That way I'm not leaving stuff behind.

@tomjennings my living room rug! My vacuum cleaner! My coffee maker! Honestly it's enough stuff to justify it. And it's not THAT much more expensive than the flight anyhow. My cat will find a way to survive two days in a moving truck with me.

@robdaemon @tomjennings earplugs. Or a high tolerance of crying. Longest trip I ever took with my cats was about 3 hours, and the three just played off each other the entire time to the point I expected my ears to bleed. These days, I'd probably ask my vet for a sedative to give them.

@emag @robdaemon Our vet days benadryl is safe for dogs at least; you can calc by weight. And it's fairly hard to actually harm a dog with overdose. Dunno cats. I'd get a cage/carrier covered with a blanket, and a harness for pee walks and opening the truck door.

@tomjennings @emag I have some Gabapentin from the vet to help calm her down. I have a carrier, and a harness here too. It's a small carrier, so we'll see how she does with it, but it'll be me and my best friend on the drive so she'll be with people she knows
