       @the @ai6yr I can't picture a minivan going much over  80mph and not doing that Bugs Bunny thing where everything rattles off the chassis and she's left with 5 wheels: 4 on the ground and the one she's steering with.....then again, anybody doing over 45 on the 405 is experiencing a miracle.

       @MsMeropeThe lowliest minivan made in the last 10 years out performs most 60s and 70s sports cars, design wise. Better brakes too.  And often more power.  I've modified old car suspensions and designed built and competed with them. The geometry on the new shit is superb. Blame computer design.  @the @ai6yr

       @ai6yr it's a car suspension, and probably a decent v6 and a wide/long wheelbase. Probably not amazing in the twisties, but pretty much designed to eat up freeway miles in comfort. I'd bet they're damn solid until at least 90mph and quite possibly all the way until the governor kicks in

       @tomjennings @MsMerope @the @ai6yr made a similar observation a few years ago. For giggles, the engine output of a Ferrari 250 GT, is the same as a 2025 Toyota Corolla  — 173 kW.
