The internet of today is depressing. If I want to learn something, there's no longer ways to find out useful information. Everything is just spam wanting you to click it but it's completely useless.

All I wanted to do was just change a texture in Blender and I remember it being easy but literally impossible to find out where the texture tab is supposed to be, every answer is either not true or random generated garbage that has nothing to do with what I'm looking to do x___x

@Manikobunneh there is something similar (though it has a lot of more things) and I can't seem to figure out how to change it, nor does it say what filetype are they are, if it's actually just the flat image.

@bunch_of_dergs @Manikobunneh I always feel terrible bothering other people with simple questions because it usually makes people frustrated and angry :Pcause I could probably spend months learning everything about blender and eventually on the way there would be the answer I'm looking for.

@morgunkorn I watched several videos and they all were basically identical with different voices and none of them were the thing I was looking for.. ._. but I hate watching videos for tutorials, they're so distracting and timesink.

@bayindirh I've not heard of it so I'll look at it (I use duck duck atm), I've tried some smaller search engines but they're not good at finding niche things (what is even good at that, anymore).

@Neotheta Kagi is not "smol" like Marginalia et. al, but use a mix of their own indexes plus indexes of others.It's not a free service, but that's the nice part of it. You buy the product, and you're not the product.I use them for quite some time and not receiving ads and finding good results worth it, IMHO.

@Neotheta if it's popular, I think it does. I'm a programmer by training but do a lot of Excel for my day job and every time I search, like, "Excel formula list of matches" or "Excel local timestamp to Unix time" all the results are ad-ridden slop with no solutions, and of course I can't get adblock on the company machine... If anything, I'd say it's more prevalent (and likely lucrative).

@oceane Paradoxal thinking, of course if a person knows a solution they can solve a thing.But I have no idea what most of the message means, I'm not a tech savvy person. Unsure how it even related to complaining how a regular person can't find anything on the internet, how does pdf help if you're looking for a tutorial which can be in various formats. What if I didn't even properly know what words to use in search? Used to not be a problem.
