@BobsonDugnuttHB Note that "you are not living where your parents live" was upward social mobility. Each generation improved upon the last. Not the downwards social mobility, where each generation is poorer than the last.

@Marakus @BobsonDugnuttHB Yep. I couldn't make any headway in the place I grew up in, ended up joining the military to get out, and never returned home. From California to Florida, you have kids who are more and more being forced to leave the place their family lived for generations, simply because to remain has become impossible. The same has happened all over the country. Everyone else in the world has a right to live here, except for us.Oh, and what Ben Shapiro and his ilk never mention is that they stacked the deck against us from birth. Yet they have the chutzpah to tell us that we're not good enough. When the truth is little Ben has had everything handed to him on a silver platter. I still remember seeing his articles appear from nowhere on townhall.com, wondering where the fuck does an 18 year old kid get to have his work syndicated nationally? Maybe it's because his mother and father were both executives in Hollywood? And the boomers who worship these people have the gall to tell kids to pull themselves up by the bootstraps?

@john_rando @Marakus @BobsonDugnuttHB I revisited the old neighborhood where I grew up 30 years after moving away and it was a sad sight. A place where kids used to run around and play until dusk turned into a ghetto trashheap. You can imagine why that was. It was maybe the first time I realized a place is made by the people who live there, not the soil under your feet.
