I have set up a server in a homelab using Proxmox, on top of Debian Trixie, thanks to the evangelizing of @stefano and @gyptazy (thanks fellas!).All went fine, except Proxmox doesn't accept the only user on the Debian install before it. I used 'sudo' on the Debian install, therefore no root account.Do I need a dedicated root user for #Proxmox to operate?

@marathon @stefano @gyptazy how does it compare to using Kubernetes and Helm for example? I have some experience with Docker, Docker Compose and Docker Swarm. I am considering learning K8s.

@christopher @marathon @gyptazy it's a totally different thing. Proxmox is a virtualization platform - yes, it can run (lxc) containers, but it doesn't compete with Docker or K8s

@stefano @christopher @marathon @gyptazy thoose containers are also completely different in function, they pretty much simulate a entire os without actually needing a app running to acces the shell and nothing gets wiped afterwards
