@Chzikken_1486 iirc grenfell is that housing unit that burnt down because it had 3rd wolders being as they are.I assume they were using heating/cooking devices inside that they shouldn't and so disabled the fire alarms.

@Chzikken_1486 @sickburnbro lmaoi swear 75% of jeets in india dont have jobs. you watch those street food videos or go on google maps and the majority are just sitting around doing nothing. i guess the employed ones are indoors but still. they love taking up space, literally. jeets at my school clustered in groups of 5 talking to each other in front of the soda fountain in the dining hall, and became a slow moving bottleneck in the hallways. they suck ass

US fire safety standards starting in 1942 would have required sprinklers, original or retrofitted as long as localities followed the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) which they usually do. They might have stopped the fire in the apartment from spreading. After that, the fire spread outside and I don't see how they wouldn't have helped.Claims I saw while skimming Wikipedia were an assumption the whole tower would never have to be evacuated (!), because the units themselves were considered fireproof from outside influences (but of course in practice weren't, 1972-4 policy and workmanship issues). Then you claim there aren't enough natives willing to work such a low paid job, so you need to import 3rd worlders. This is not necessarily a bad thing, the bad thing is when they want to improve their situation, not by making changes in their own country, but by switching countries.

In the US people still have to work to afford things, while in Europe all it takes is having lots of children, then the government will pay for everything, then they get a higher living standard than a childless European guy who has a job and pays taxes.

Jobs have become more stressful and now rarely involve travel, if it can be avoided by using the internet. As a result "wagies" are no longer seen on the streets, they spend all their time at work, then quickly get back home, or never leave their home, by working from home. The weekend, wagies need to rest, do household chores, because they have no wife (- >inceldom). So eventually, the only people who are truly "free", who can actually roam the streets at daytime and explore the city, are unemployed migrants.
