       @caekislove idk, I tried this practice test, and some of the questions are obvious, but there are a lot of technical questions I didn't know. Like, I don't know anything about checking power steering, or how many tie down points you need, expected stopping distance,or how long it takes your body to process alcohol after a drink.        @caekislove I drove OTR for 7 years accident free. Just takes extremely defensive driving and tons of patience. Most people fail the pre-trip inspection portion of the CDL exams if they fail anywhere. In my state they require you to wait 90 days before re-testing again.

       @Elliptica @caekislove A lot of these people are not even being administered any kind of tests. They're illegally purchasing fraudulent licenses or going to some trucking mill that gives you an extremely vague and easy test to "pass"

       @caekislove @Goalkeeper I am still in disbelief that english and being able to read haven't been requirements to operate the largest vehicles on the road. Even watching an obvious veteran hand behind the wheel with 30mph+ winds gets scary, and those old white guys obviously knew their shit (they were more common 10 years ago)
