@Nonilex Hegseth is a member of the Dominionist movement, which makes no bones about their desire to take over the military and use it to establish a theocracy. Pretty sure that is a complete explanation for the firings. He needs to be impeached.

@Nonilex It's ok. The NYT can say the firing and sidelining of flag rank officers is unprecedented. It doesn't have to temporize by saying "in recent times."

@Nonilex I hope generals are not that naive as media tries to be there.He is most likely in very erratic and bad way tries to sus out which generals would stand against orange orders in case he doesn't want to vacate and wants to make a civil war move on opposition. He is most likely making botched work for it, but intention is very clear. Fact he is bad at it doesn't mean his intentions are not criminal. And generals should realise by know what to do.And I hope they don't tell media that.
