My dad who is 81 recently got into trouble cause the app where he pays his bills decided that his phone is too old. He has a fully functional phone that’s a couple of years old but he now needs to throw it away because of software.I think this is bullshit.

@kolombiken agreed. I have a 7 year old phone, and it works just fine for everything, with the help of LineageOS that I put on it to keep it current. Have you considered custom roms?

If your job is to build software and you decide that you’re not going to support “old devices “ then you need to understand that you’re making life more difficult for people who are already struggling with tech. Elderly, people with disabilities, people who lack the means to buy the latest. Lets rethink this. Ok? Ok!
