@sashin In decreasing order of level of excitement:Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!Mind GameKaibaSandaDevilman Crybaby¹Heike Story²Inu-Oh³Tatami GalaxyDespite ordering, all eight of these are all-time greats"The Colors Within" is also pretty good¹ CW sex, murder, sex-murder combinations² Suggest following along with Wikipedia because this is basically about Japanese MacBeth and it assumes you know some of the story already³ Only after Heike Story

@mcc I have seen a number of these! In fact the ones I haven't seen are Sanda, Heike Story and Inu-Oh.Tatami Galaxy is one of my favourite all time works.Have you seen the others in that series, The night is short so walk on girl and Tatami Time Machine?

@sashin I liked The Night Is Short rather a lot but found it more forgettable than Tatami Galaxi, and Tatami Time Machine uh, we started it but did not finish, you could kind of tell it was an unrelated thing by a different author that had the characters reworked in.Sanda is being released right now.

@sashin If this was a "what have you seen" rather than a "what do you recommend" question, I have also seen and liked Ping Pong The Animation but it was somewhat distracting to watch after Hanebado which is practically a parody of it and so much higher energy.

"Sanda" is somehow even gayer than City despite City opening with a middle school girl marriage proposal

@sashin The Heike Story / Inu-Oh combination is amazing, basically Science Saru walled off into different teams each with the directive "Make an anime about the Heike epic" and went in completely different directions (meaning that although the productions were concurrent you want to watch Heike Story first because the events occur first)

@sashin Also Kaiba is high on my excitement list but I don't know if I'd recommend watching it before some of those others because it's amazing but sort of challenging. It's like if a 1970s Tezuka cartoon were a horny, anticapitalist cyberpunk fever dream
