Baseball has stuff like Jackie Robinson and his role in the civil rights cinematic universe and Basketball is a very Black sport, but Basketball is very much a sport that is watched by Blacks as much as it is played by Blacks, and Baseball is still a deeply White and Japanese (and occasionally Hispanic) sport that Blacks simply aren't into. American Football has the dynamic of the Black player and the White fan that causes a lot of issues.

@judgedread There’s a documentary on YouTube with the title “Behind the Scenes of Star Wars: The Original Trilogy ILM Special Effects Makers” (it says it was a bonus feature to Star Wars: The Complete Saga), its really good, it’s interviews with the guys who did the special effects on the original trilogy.The very last segment is them going over how in ROTJ they transitioned to a new computer modeling system called Go Motion, where thing were controlled with computers, and the stop motion animator who did the AT-ST scenes explains how they went from modeling things over green screens and sets to doing it in XYZ coordinates with the models free floating in space. He did the scene where the Ewoks trip up the AT-ST with logs with this new method and talks about how hard it was to get right. When I saw the footage of the AT-ST model suspended over nothing the immediate reaction I had was “hey there’s Pixar!”

My favorite is jumping offsides. This is something that playing all through highschool and a lot of it as defensive end, stand up outside linebacker I did zero times. It's very simple anticipate the snap, but watch the fucking ball and dont move until there is a twitch of the snap. Yet even in the NFL you'll have niggers jump offsides multiple times a game. Blocks in the back are another one. Like seriously, he is not looking at you, dont block him.

Pixar was different, they (originally the Computer Graphics Division) were assigned the job of creating images directly via the computer. Pic related. This third party X-Wing test was deemed too unrealistic for use in Return of the Jedi, so Lucas funded further research until he threw in the towel and sold it to Steve Jobs (probably because he was short of cash thanks to his divorce).
