@adam @podhome Chapters have been in my third party podcast app of choice for some time.When there was still an iTunes, some podcasts had show art that changed through the podcast. I thought chapters were up to those editing the podcasts, but perhaps being able to randomly access the chapters (or have an AI suggest headings) is new to Apple’s current podcast app.

@adam @podhome Oh, thanks. I really hate streaming a podcast. Perhaps that’s why.There may be some other new subleties to Apple Podcasts additions. I only go there for transcripts however.Switching from iTunes management to Apple Music lost all the smart playlist functionality I depended on. So, hello 3rd party app. Haven’t looked back. Much.

@adam Dave Winer should recognize finally that Apple Inc took over from podcasting 2.0 already 2nd thing after transcripts - cloud chapters - so that podcasting 2.0 was usefuland Apple should reward you 2 financially - you and Dave, kurwa

@adam I put the iOS 26.2 beta on my phone. Here are some screenshots. the first run of the Apple Podcsts app. Podcating 2.0 chapters shows Apples generated chapters, and No agenda shows no chapters.

@Drebscott I wonder if the chapters must be available upon publishing. I also am curious if the chapters update on Apple podcasts if the chapters file is changed afterwards. @james and thoughts?

@adam @Drebscott @james Has someone gone in on Podcasts Connect and accepted the new terms of service? That is required before the cloud chapters are used as it then enables the menu setting for them.
