Umm, all good and all but… why the fuck is Norway one of the largest investors in this fascist’s company? https://mastodon.social/@mistakenotmy/115491000561181158

@aral@mastodon.ar.al Likely due to the massive amount of Teslas the Norwegians have bought over the last 10 years.Or as the internets puts it: "Norway has the highest Tesla ownership per capita in Europe, with approximately 4.5 Teslas for every 1,000 residents. This is largely due to strong government incentives and a robust charging infrastructure."

@aral because Norway is big on green capitalism and not on critical thinking and at some point the majority of people here got convinced that tesla would save the planet.... there are so many teslas around it's insane, wealthy families getting to feel good about doing the right thing for the environment 🤡

@aral because the Norwegian wealth fund like the saudi one, doesn't have a morality clause, just a profit one.

@aral If they just divested they'd knock that house of cards down.

@aral Because those who have the power to do something about it are so economy-brained that they believe that divesting from nazi companies would be "political". And the fund is not supposed to be "political". Now the finance minister (the ex NATO guy, Jens Stoltenberg), who is a member of the social democratic labor party, wants to ally with the right wing to get rid of the left's pesky demands to divest from genocide supporting companies. Because he's afraid of having to divest from big tech.
