@lain I remember the Illuminatus trilogy being a romp, but not really life changing :illuminati: both Prometheus Rising and Quantum Psychology hit similar life changing buttons: tl;dr objectivity is over-rated, reality is more malleable than we think, that type of thing. And both have experiments to try at the end of each chapter

@harblinger reminds me a bit of 'seven experiments that could change the world' by sheldrake

@lain you could invert the y axis and label it "lives actually changed"

@lain "Kuidas minust sai HAPKOMAH" (subtitle title: "ja lisaks kõik lood nihilist.fm'ist""How i became a NARCOMANIAC (in cryllic)"subtitle title:"and other stories from nihilist.fm"literally 0 people i can recommend this to because its estonian. in estonian there is a concept of "Second estonia", which means the politically, ethically and socially ignored. The book is a collection of stories describing the "Third estonia". It incredibly changed and developed my understanding of other humans, be it rich and prosperous or those half a minute away from a drug overdose death statistic. And everyone in between too.

@lain @harblinger I'd endorse this one, and have heard others say the same. Wonder where it fits on the log plot.
