The exchange rate for US dollars to like ecuador is insane. even at like $100/day, a full month of rent in ecuador is like $300 usd so they are like actually wealthy back home.

Ever since i learned how those dudes actually do it im like, well they work for cheap in the US, but because of exchange rates it's actually like a high paying traveling job that pays like 10x more than they can make in their own country + everyone gets cheaper prices. I can't find anything morally wrong with that set up and honestly it seems beneficial for everyone. BUT DUH LAWthey also don't stay in the US they just crowd into apartments for the summer lol so it's not like they even act like citizens. Idk
