@lain This is so messed up. Compare XLY vs. XLP. Consumer discretionary is UP. Investors have rotated out of consumer staples which is what is up on the Bloomberg screen shot. 20% of the population (high income, high stock market exposure) is doing 80% of the spending. Sick economy.

@BeastlyGoyim @lain Not financial advice, but playing earnings reports when wall street thinks the economy is great but my eyes tell me main street is suffering has given me huge wins. The type of foods that you buy when you’re broke but you gotta eat- those are what people buy when it’s too expensive to afford other stuff. Made a 100%+ return on earnings play but had to use it myself because everything is expensive.
