I have a 2009 MacBook Pro. It needs to be updated. It’s maxed out as far as memory goes…What’s a good OS to put on it?I’m assuming some flavor of Linux would be right??

@Truthy Depends on how easy you want it.Mint with an XFCE desktop should run snappy and be easy to install.Also a relatively easy transition from windows.My mom did it.

@Truthy If I remember correctly that should be an Intel Mac. In theory anything will work. I got a friend who put straight up Debian on one, KDE for something fancy, MATE for the good old gnome style while being up to date and snappy. I'm biased, I'm a Debian guy though.

@Truthy Mint on my mid 2010 MBP seems to work OK, but I don’t use it as a daily driver, more of a curiosity.
