@Tamamo @rlier23 @nnature elaborating further on the skin gacha issue.The game already had 2 gachas for characters and weapons and both have dupe systems similar to Hoyo stuff like Genshin.Except here the dupe upgrades are so powerful that a good chunk of characters need at least one or two of them in order to function.Now imagine jewing people out with a system like that then add yet another gacha system for skins (which were always directly purchasable until then) and you can see why people are leaving

I don't understand their gunsmoke when they released mosin, pretty much the only "electro" character, and then had electro funsmoke. Not only that but in a platoon that requires manual it's a huge pain to do 2-3 manual runs of it. It should be like grand assault in BA with your highest score being applied to each. Not only that but two gunsmokes ago when every skill you could choose was totally irrelevant to the dolls that were good for clearing.

Springfield, Suomi, Tololo, Qiongjiu, + on element doll for facetanking.I honestly hate the horde mode having 3 maps to clear every 2 weeks more than the phaseclash mode.The games just taking more time than I want to commit now. I'm in a top 100 platoon for this too.

Yeah that's my feeling, I was stoked when this came out and after getting through all the content I was able to do dailies in just a few minutes, it was basically the same as BA. They keep throwing stuff to do and I'm just not going to do it. I have a few nearly 20k characters and I can clear everything. I don't need them to be 25k and finish gunsmoke bosses in 4 turns.

@rlier23 @Meemoo @Tamamo @nnature Global hasn't been shiv'd by the knife yet. We just see the knife inching closer to stabbing us. :laugh_evil: can't do anything about it. Some people after seeing the knife manifest and is slowly but surely coming for the stab have jumped off and abandoned the game though. For me I used to buy the monthly card/battlepass every time now I've just stopped spending entirely and i'm just burning through my coin stash as I buy skins that I want. When I run out i'll re-evaluate if I want to keep playing GFL2.

@rlier23 @Tamamo @nnature yeah prior to global the company was quite literally bleeding out money because CN wasn't biting.They spent like 6 months acting really nice and listening to player feedback then comes the dorm system and they decide to throw all of it in the trash.First they spend months showing off the dorm and all the features it has as well as the Klukai swimsuit skin.Then hours before the actual update, they backstabbed players by suddenly announcing the new gacha system which they never hinted at existing in all prior streams and and marketing.Players were obviously pissed so CN and global decide to team up and do a spending freeze until the situation is resolved starting from the 8th of that month.A player also spoke to some MICA employees to set up a meeting at their office.Comes the 8th, the guy is told to fuck off and MICA makes an announcement about an offline "fan" "meetup" in their office 2 weeks from the boycott starting date.The kicker? They get to select who shows up, they ask for a lot of personal info, and everyone that goes there is forced to sign an NDA and no stream of the meeting will happen.Aka they can pretend that the meeting happened and no one will be able to prove it. They used this to stall and test the boycott's patience.Anyway, comes the day of the "meeting" they basically quadruple down on the skin gacha, announce a bunch of stuff as distraction, and they said they'll be adding a new banner to the skin gacha every major event (so roughly every 3 months).And that's when I personally checked out of this shit heap of a company.So far it seems CN stuck to their word about the boycott but global is still paypigging (albeit, they are decreasing in numbers)

Yeah final restriction is pretty fun honestly, they also have really good spacing of their events and grand assault being able to clear once and apply your score is fantastic qol. It's hard to get burnt out with it and makes it easy to always pickup for 5 minutes or more if you want to plat.

So far CN hasn't gotten another skin gacha so at this point we still don't know the frequency in how often they plan on releasing the gacha. if we see a new skin gacha it'll be within this month probably. We'll be waiting faster for the conclusion. I feel like we're starting to see real fatigue in how predatory a gacha can be.

@Spooke @Tamamo @nnature @rlier23 a whale I know basically semi-quit the game but he gets his acc piloted by his platoonmates when it comes to gunsmoke.Basically told me his platoon has this one guy who pilots 10 accounts daily cuz the pool of players currently is insanely dry.Regardless, I do wish you the best of luck if you're still sticking with the game.The only thing that will make me come back personally is if they remove the skin gacha like they did with Neural cloud but tbh I just don't see them doing that so far.

Balance around an average player and the whales will steamroll the content. Unlike a single player game where devs have full control of a players toolset and can balance difficulty around that toolset, they cant do the same in a gacha.
